Catching up!!

Ok so I said I would keep up to date on my blog and that has obviously NOT happened!! Haha So I thought I would take a second out of my crazy life to give an update on what is going on in our life!

Katelynn-

Well theres only way to describe her right now and that is WAY TO OLD!! She turns 10 next month and I can't even believe it! She is in 4th grade at the elementary school right down the street from our house. We are still living in Duvall in a little two bdrm appointment that we love! She is about 4 to 5 inches away from being as tall as me and I am dreading the day that I have to look UP at her. She definitely turning into a little lady but hasn't made the transition just yet...but man is she moody!! haha Lord help me!! She is such a blessing in my life and I honestly could never imagine my life with her. She is always so happy and fun to be with. She has almost turned into more a roommate now. She helps out around the house, we do homework together, cook, play games, watch movies , dance around and sing at the top of our lungs!! haha She is sooo much fun and I love taking in every second of this time with her because I know it won't last forever. However, she did tell me the other day that she doesn't want to move out and when she goes to college she wants to go like I do so she can still live me and come home everyday! LOL I told her she will probably change her mind!! She is doing pretty good in school. She has always struggled with reading and still is but is making good progress. Next year will be her last year in elementary school and then she moves to the Junior High!! I can't even bare the thought of it!! I'm terrified!! haha She has just started softball and loves it. She has played for a couple years now and this is the first year where it is only kid pitch. She is very interested in being a pitcher and is honestly quite the little athlete. They had to try out this year and I found out she ranked 3rd in her age group!! Yes I'm bragging a little but I'm so proud of her! She is slugger and hits the crap out of the ball!! She always plays Basketball and Volleyball when those seasons come around. She finally got really aggressive this year in Basketball and was flinging girls to ground fighting for the ball. At times it was almost like watching football! haha Last year was her first time playing Volleyball and with her height she has great potential there too! I'm VERY excited to see where her athletic career goes!! She is still not interested in boys and they still have cooties! haha Thank the Lord. I've over heard her talking with her friends and some of them have already starting getting all giddy over a boy and I just cringe! Whenever I ask her if she likes anyone she says, "No Mom!! thats gross!" haha yes for now that is the best answer!! Overall she is amazing and keeps my laughing and motivated every day!

Me-

Well I just finished my first year of college last quarter with a 3.8 GPA. I got one B and all the rest A's!! I was quite proud of myself as I had worked sooo hard. Of course they were the easier of the classes I have to take but none the less it was definitely an accomplishment. I just started my first quarter of my second year and I'm taking Physiology and Math. I love my Anatomy class and the Math is still really easy! I am still thankful for every day that I get to go to school! I can't believe its already been a year and I'm still giddy everyday to go. Granted it is super stressful but I'm so excited knowing that everyday is one step closer to living my dream. I'm hoping by Feb of next year to be applying for the Nursing program and starting it next Fall. Thats the plan anyway. Once I'm in it will take me two years to complete. So hopefully by 2014 will be graduating from college with my RN and being my dream career. I do still plan on gradually going back to school to eventually earn my Masters but that will probably take some time as by the time I graduate with just my RN Katelynn will be close to starting Highschool!! SO scary!! So obviously I will need to paying very close attention to her and not school until she has graduated. Then I will go back. Outside of school I am working part time at Puget Sound Energy. Its the power company up here. Its a great company to work for but I HATE my job! haha I spend my entire shift chained to my desk by a headset taking none stop calls of people calling in to bitch about their bill!! FUN!! There are definitely so phone calls that are very hard to hold my tongue thru but knowing that the calls are recorded and I would probably be fired for what I really want to say to some people helps my bite my tongue! haha I try to look at my job as a blessing as they let me change my schedule every 3 months to fit around my school schedule and its better then not having a job at all. Its also motivation to do well in school because if I don't I know that will be job forever and I would rather be shot!! LOL Other then school, work, homework, being a mom, and attempting to stay caught up on groceries, laundry, and housework I also am the assistant coach for Katelynn's softball team and I play on my softball team!! LOL I know I'm crazy and do actually find to sleep somehow. I wasn't planning on coaching but no one else would do it so I stepped up. I LOVE coaching and will probably continue to help coaching as long as I can. If I wasn't going to be a nurse I would love to be a coach. There is nothing more rewarding then working with a kid and then seeing the moment when they finally get it and they are soooo excited!! I love it!! As far as my team its just a Rec Co-ed team. Its alot of fun. We play on Sunday afternoons and its kinda like my one fun thing I know I get to do every week. Honestly if I didn't have that I would probably go crazy as I am forced to just stop my crazy schedule and have fun for a few hours. Its a group of my really good friends and we generally spend the whole time laughing and making fun of each other! We actually finished last season 8-1 which was definitely a first! As far as personal life, still not dating anyone which is fine because honestly where am I putting THAT into my schedule! haha Yeah there are days that it would be nice but honestly I don't have time! Besides it would just distract me from what I really want right now and I'm not letting that happen again!!! This is honestly the first time in my life that I am really doing something that I want and working on making my dream come true. I thank God every day!! I really haven't been this happy in so long and I love every second!! :)

Well that's us in a long nut shell! Other all this we are definitely ready for some sunshine as it has been a very long, cold, wet winter. Summer could not come any faster. We still miss everyone soooooo much and are hoping to see everyone at Dan's wedding!! I can't wait!! I am so happy for my brother and how far he has come. I couldn't be a prouder sister :)
